Speaking to FTAdviser on Friday (March 10), the Barclays' spokesperson reiterated that the bank does accept direct debits from online banks but admitted that some of its staff may have been confused on its policy.
Lennox was told by a Barclays representative that the bank would be in touch with him once the issue was resolved.
